Cons of Using Hypertext
- Requires a computer to view, but a book does not even require electricity or batteries
- Lack of accountability - the ease at which people may publish information makes it easy for unreliable sources to publish information and look trustworthy and believable
- Copyrights are difficult to enforce because anyone can copy files with just one or two clicks of their mouse
- Loss of permanence - cannot be held in your hand or kept forever
- Readers can easily be lost once they wander into another site you've linked to
